Superintendent

Remote - Natick, MA

We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent that has demonstrated the ability to serve as the lead Project Superintendent on major construction projects in the $10 to $100 million range to oversee, manage and document all day-to-day job site activities from mobilization through closeout. The role requires:

Safety – Be the safety leader on the project complying with OSHA, W.T Rich, and Owner safety requirements

  • Ensure that all subcontractors participate in a safety pre-construction meeting prior to starting work on the project
  • Ensure that all workers and site visitors participate in a site orientation and receive various clearances before entering the site
  • Perform safety inspections

Quality Control – Champion the quality control effort to ensure that the project is delivered as specified

Working with the Project Manager, develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections

Manage and update the project schedule

  • Work with Scheduler to update CPM schedule monthly
  • Work with Project Manager to create and update Milestone schedules
  • Create Four Week Look Ahead schedules weekly
  • Drive project team and subcontractors to meet schedule requirements

Display strong technical knowledge with regards to construction operations, sequencing, means and methods

  • Lead and or participate in various project meetings
  • Establish positive and effective relationships with project stakeholders

Qualifications

Experience/Education:

  • BS or MS degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • Minimum 7 years construction industry experience, with at least 5 years in the function of a lead Project Superintendent
  • Served as lead Project Superintendent on projects with a value greater than $25 million

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License – required
  • OSHA-30 training – required
  • Basic computer skills and competency – required
  • Massachusetts public construction industry experience – preferred
  • Significant renovation or occupied construction experience – preferred
  • Lean Construction Management experience – preferred
  • LEED AP or Green Associate – preferred
